Who is Peter Nygård?
A few days ago at the World Stem Cell Summit prior to the awards dinner there was a social gathering. This kind of thing is usually a good opportunity for more dialogue.
When I got there I noticed two very famous people having what appeared to be an intense meeting of the minds on stem cells and aging.
There stood fashion designer Peter Nygård (middle) and anti-aging guru Aubrey de Grey (to the right with ponytail) having this discussion.
With Peter Nygård were a bunch of models too. It was quite a sight. See another picture below–hat tip to Kelly Hills for this shot.
Nygård is reportedly very interested in the use of stem cells for anti-aging treatments.
Hmmm- Guess we were talking to different people.
One would have to be “High” to consider that “Fashion”. A low class display and cheap disregard of the simple rule ” A time and a place”.
Hope he keeps his hoochie mamas home next year. Yawn.
Actually quite a few people, including scientists, told me they liked the clothes worn by those models!
…I don’t think they liked the dresses because they were the latest in fashion. Just sayin.
(Actually, the black and white one is cute. The others are…uh, not so much.)
Do not underestimate Peter Nygard’s background and working knowledge on a host of science including but not limited to anti aging and everything stem cells.
Lets not forget, Peter is in the Hi Fashion business and I suspect his entourage was wearing the newest summer fashions!
I wouldn’t be surprised to see that those dresses show up as being worn by a lot of women in 2013. I know close to zero about fashion (yes, I’m probably setting myself up for a joke with that), but as mentioned in response to the other comment, quite a few people told me they liked the outfits.

If stem cell therapies produce legs like that, then I’m all for it…
